Known as a painter and sculptor, he received Govt. scholarship in 1957; Graduated in Fine Arts from Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharti University, Santiniketan, 1961; One of the founder members of the Society of Contemporary Artists, Calcutta. Awarded French Govt. Fellowship, 1966-67. Group shows and one man shows since 1962 in India and abroad. Represented in Indian Painting at the Commonwealth Arts Festival, London. Contemporary Painters of India, Poland, Yugoslavia, Holland Belgium, sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. In the collection of National Gallery of Modern Art, Punjab Musuem, Chandigarh and many private collections. |
