Studied at the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Calcutta, formerly teacher at Sarada Ukil School of Art, New Delhi; was with the Art Department, Delhi Polytechnic (since 1951). Travelled in Europe on study tour. Exhibitions: had participated in the National Exhibition of Art in the annual exhibitions of the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society and Academy of Fine Arts, Calcutta. Represented in several important exhibitions held abroad, including Salon de Mai. Collection: National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. Member Selection and Judging Committee, National Exhibition of Art (1956). Exhibited and promoted by the Kumar Gallery between 1955 and 1960.
