He was the nephew of Rabindranath Tagore. He was one of the founders in 1907, of the Indian Society of Oriental Art. He was a self-taught painter, exhibiting in 1914 in London and Paris and in 1924 in London and Germany. His work reveals Far Eastern influence through Taikan and Hishida (crows). He became fascinated with Cubism, developing his own World of poetic fantasy. |
